We are so excited to launch the Righteous Rebels platform and begin showcasing all the amazing women of color who have shaped our history. The research alone has been so enlightening. As Caribbean women of the diaspora we grew up not seeing ourselves, our families, our culture or our history fairly
depicted in mainstream media. We had to travel and research in order to gain the knowledge that should be our birthright to know. Not seeing yourself represented in daily life can have such lasting effects on our self esteem and self love. We decided to change that in hopes of instilling pride and self love of our ancestral lands, traditions, culture, history, language and food. We hope you enjoy this journey as much as we have!
